What a lovely place! Nice trees so plenty of sun and shade, beautiful pool (being expanded when we were there), very clean outdoor kitchen with two sinks, two gas cooktops, filtered water and even paper towels. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable with hot water. It's only a couple of blocks to a long, dark sand beach. Watching the surfers with gorgeous sunsets in the background was our favorite. A couple of local mini-marts had the essentials, but no fruits or vegetables. We didn't have a car, so had to take Uber into Jaco (about 3,000 CRC) for other things. Highly recommended.

Very friendly atmosphere, with a well-equipped shared kitchen by the beautiful pool. A barbecue is available. Small tables as well. Just a short walk to the beach, with small shops nearby for shopping. Very friendly staff. The accommodation was clean and spacious, with small very individual houses, some with balconies. The shower was nicely hot with good pressure for Costa Rica! Very beautiful place. Nice cats. Closed parking at night. We felt like at home!

Comfortable location and rooms, very nice social area and pools. Ocean breeze and next to the main road, which was not disturbing us. Restaurants, supermarket and beach in walking distance. Would definitely come back, also with furry friends. :-) Gracias y Pura Vida

Had to review his hidden gem. Because if you happen to be going through Playa Hermosa for surfing or just on the way somewhere there are three great restaurants right next Mason's place: The Cabinas Brisa del Mar are fairly trimmed down no frills cabanas with a lot of open space and an easy feel that is very welcoming. After an experience so bad at nearby Hotel Tramonto it was a great comfort to meet Mason who walked out in his flip-flops, gave me the leisurely tour of the place while explaining we'll take care of the charges later. The local Market was still open and within 10 minutes I was chilling poolside with a cold cerveza and letting the sound of the waves help me forget about the travel troubles of the day.
The pool is central to the community area and lit creatively and I had no trouble getting my girlfriend in the next night.

Seriously can’t wait to come back to this place! The staff is super nice and welcoming. The outside kitchen is perfect and exactly what you need if you don’t want to eat out every single day/night. my room was equipped a/c and a mini fridge, there was a mini mart right next door + other foods. A great location and most importantly clean.

Very good reception, we were seated to do the check-in, which is nice when you have heavy backpacks. Beautiful kitchen/lounge/pool area. The kitchen is well equipped. The pool is very pleasant. We are just a short walk (2 minutes on foot) from the beach. We would have liked to stay longer. Good air conditioning.

Great stay here. All the staff and the owner himself are lovely. We absolutely loved the area and would definately return. The room was basic but had everything we needed. Nice comfy beds and decent pillows. WiFi was good, pool area was lovely and clean and had outdoor kitchen facilities next to it. Was fab. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely stay and we wish we’d stayed longer.
